Hi Folks,

A new defense order put KULR Technology Group (NYSE: KULR) back on my radar.

The company has received more than $1M in production purchase orders for battery systems supporting a major U.S. drone initiative.

Production isn't something planned for next year.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in October, with the current orders expected to be completed by the end of November.

That's the near-term development.

The larger story is where those batteries are headed.

A $1.1B Program

KULR's systems will support the government's Drone Dominance Program, a $1.1B, multi-phase initiative aimed at accelerating the procurement and deployment of small unmanned aircraft systems.

KULR is supplying battery systems rather than the drones themselves.

That's an important distinction.

The company's current orders represent only a small piece of the broader program, and there's no assurance that participation will lead to substantially larger orders.

Still, it's a foothold worth following.

If KULR performs on these initial deliveries, the next question is whether additional production work follows.

New Capacity Comes Online

There's another reason these orders caught my attention.

KULR recently invested in Forge 2, its Houston manufacturing facility built to increase battery production for defense drones and other autonomous systems.

Management says customer programs are now moving from qualification into scaled production.

We're beginning to see evidence of that transition.

KULR also says Forge 2 was designed to support domestic battery production that meets NDAA requirements, with an initial compliance deadline approaching in 2027.

That makes domestic manufacturing another part of this story worth following.

The Next Two Months Matter

For now, I'm keeping this simple.

KULR has more than $1M in production orders.

Shipments begin in October.

The company expects to finish those deliveries by the end of November.

I'll be watching whether KULR meets that schedule, whether additional orders follow and how quickly Forge 2 begins handling greater production volume.

The $1.1B program provides the backdrop.

Execution on the first orders is what matters now.

Space And Robotics Pipeline

KULR’s battery systems were selected for Icarus Robotics’ platform headed to the International Space Station. The company is also working on broader space and autonomous-systems opportunities.

Keep KULR on your radar as deliveries begin.

To your success,

Sam Kremer
